Specializations:

Dr. Edelson is a licensed clinical psychologist with unique expertise in the treatment of stress and anxiety, optimizing wellness, and women’s health. She has over 10 years treating adults and couples in a range of settings including hospitals, substance abuse recovery facilities, and community clinics. Dr. Edelson is currently a staff psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, where she sees individual patients, teaches classes and works in pain management and primary care. She focusses on the use of mindfulness-based techniques and has significant experience treating all types of stress-based illness as well as chronic pain conditions.She has expertise in the treatment of women’s pelvic pain conditions, including general pain in the pelvic region and pain with sex and was previously the pelvic pain psychologist at Kaiser San                                                       Francisco in the Pelvic Pain clinic with Dr. Jen Gunter. She has significant                                                 experience supervising graduate students as well as doing psychological                                              research in the areas of stress, anxiety and loss.
