Dr. Naomi Edelson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in stress and anxiety disorders, trauma, women's health, and chronic pain or illness. She has over ten years of experience working with individuals and couples in her own practice and in hospitals and clinics. She teaches concrete skills to use daily in order to improve your mindset, relationships, and careers, and helps you work toward a life full of hope, health, and promise. Providing direction on how to identify negative patterns, she gives you tools to change them. One of her main passions is guiding people toward optimizing their mind-body connection to improve overall health and well-being. She works frequently with physicians, physical therapists, and psychiatrists to provide multidisciplinary care to individuals struggling with a variety of issues including stress induced illness, gastroenterological disorders, pelvic pain, rheumatic diseases, fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions. As an integrative psychologist, she addresses psychological, biological and social factors that affect health using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other evidence-based treatments.  Dr. Edelson has recently received commendation from Kaiser Permanente for her work helping patients in the primary care clinic taper off opioid medication through the mind-body pathway and CBT.
